Combining more than a decade of experience as a transactional attorney and litigator, Erik H. Rosanes counsels and represents individuals, corporations, national and regional lenders, title insurance companies, construction firms, developers and small businesses on a full range of commercial and residential real estate, zoning, land use, and construction matters.
Prior to joining Donohue, McGahan, Catalano & Belitsis, Mr. Rosanes was an associate in the real estate practice group at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where he represented national and regional financial institutions, real estate developers, national retail chains, owners and lessees in the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing and subleasing of residential, retail, office, industrial and mixed-use space. He began his career at Gathman & Bennett, L.L.P., representing institutional lenders, homeowners, home buyers and private investors in the acquisition, sale, financing and refinancing of residential and investment properties.
He is the co-author of, "Hey, That's My Property! Maybe, and Maybe Not. Proving Adverse Possession Has Become Easier in New York," New York Law Journal, Trends in Real Estate and Title Insurance, Volume 236-No. 45, October 3, 2006.
A life-long racing sailor, Mr. Rosanes is a member representative of the Greater Huntington Council of Yacht and Boating Clubs, which serves as an advocate for the boating community on issues including marine safety and environmental protection.
